Meet Dr. Samra Nageye, PharmD, an ambulatory care pharmacist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the December 2020 featured Science Sista of the Month! Dr. Nageye earned her bachelor’s in Business Administration at the University of Kentucky and recently her PharmD at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. As a pharmacy intern, she helped develop and implement a pharmacy-driven quality improvement project to increase the pneumococcal vaccination compliance rates in patients with cystic fibrosis seen at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Throughout pharmacy school, Dr. Nageye was involved in various organizations—most impactful being Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) and PharmD Diversity Ambassador Coordinator. Through her Involvement in
SNPHA, she served as a committee chair and chapter vice president—upholding the mission of serving the underserved.
