Meet Dr. Cherika R. Johnson, PharmD, and the July featured Science Sista of the Month! Dr. Johnson is from Paducah, KY. She attended the University of Kentucky, where she received a bachelor’s of science degree in Human Nutrition. She graduated with her PharmD from the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy in May 2021. This past month she started her residency training as a PGY1 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Resident at the University of Arizona/El Rio Health in Tucson, Arizona, and is currently studying for her board exams. Cherika is passionate about improving the health of patients in underserved communities and helping patients better manage their medications, and improve their chronic disease states. She also enjoys serving in various ways to improve her community. After finishing residency training, Dr. Johnson hopes to continue working with underserved communities in the ambulatory care setting.
